THE GRAND PALAIS
At the Heart of Art Basel Paris 2026
Beneath its spectacular glass roof, the Grand Palais welcomes 211 galleries across three sectors: Galeries, dedicated to leading names in modern and contemporary art; Emergence, showcasing rising talents; and Premise, exploring original curatorial approaches.
Paintings, sculptures, photography, and installations offer a comprehensive view of international artistic creation, in a setting where historic architecture meets contemporary art.
Allow half a day to explore the different sections and fully immerse yourself in the experience.
Practical information: Grand Palais, 7 avenue Winston Churchill, Paris 8th arrondissement. October 23–25, 2026, with Preview days on October 21 and 22. Approximately a 25-minute walk from Hôtel Vernet.
AROUND THE GRAND PALAIS
Contemporary Art in the Open Air
Art Basel Paris's Public Program extends into the monuments, gardens, and avenues of the 8th arrondissement, inviting visitors to discover contemporary art as they stroll through the neighborhood.
THE PETIT PALAIS, PLACE CLEMENCEAU AND AVENUE WINSTON CHURCHILL
At the Petit Palais, German artist Cosima von Bonin presents The Dollys & The Beaux (2026), a collection of plush sculptures blending fantasy, humor, and contemporary art.
Just steps away, Robert Indiana's LOVE Wall (1966–2006), a monumental steel sculpture that has become a universal symbol, takes center stage on Place Clemenceau.
Between the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, Avenue Winston Churchill becomes an open-air gallery featuring works by Niki de Saint Phalle, Yinka Shonibare, Alicja Kwade, Carmen Herrera, and several other international artists.
An ideal cultural walk to enjoy as a couple, with friends, or as a family.
THE JARDIN DE LA NOUVELLE-FRANCE AND SQUARE JEAN PERRIN
Near the Champs-Élysées, two gardens offer a different perspective on contemporary artistic creation.
At the Jardin de la Nouvelle-France, Boz Deseo presents Garden Celia, or the Misfortunes of Virtue (2026), an installation of steel sculptures whose forms contrast with the surrounding greenery.
At Square Jean Perrin, Lionel Sabatté explores the relationship between nature and materials through Champs d’Oiseaux (2026), a series of bronze sculptures.
Two artistic interludes worth including in a walk around the Grand Palais.
FROM THE TROCADERO TO THE PALAIS D’IÉNA: WHERE ART MEETS ARCHITECTURE
On the Right Bank, the Public Program continues at two remarkable locations in Paris's 16th arrondissement.
At the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, American artist Kennedy Yanko unveils sculptures created in 2026, exploring the transformation of metal and the dialogue between industrial materials and contemporary forms.
Nearby, the Palais d’Iéna, a modernist masterpiece designed by Auguste Perret, hosts Geste de Consolation, a special project by filmmaker Alice Diop, presented by Miu Miu. An encounter between cinema, memory, and contemporary artistic expression.
Extend your visit with a stroll to the Trocadéro, where sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower provide a memorable Parisian backdrop.
ON THE LEFT BANK: AN IMMERSIVE ART EXPERIENCE
Within the historic Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins hosts Küba (2004), a video installation by Kutluğ Ataman.
Comprising 40 screens, the work brings individual stories to life, exploring themes of identity, community, and memory. Set within the chapel's historic surroundings, it offers an immersive and thought-provoking experience.
Address: Beaux-Arts de Paris, 14 rue Bonaparte, Paris 6th arrondissement. Continue your cultural exploration through the art galleries of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

HÔTEL VERNET
A Parisian Address Where Art Is Part of the Experience
Just steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, Hôtel Vernet, a five-star luxury hotel, has long cultivated a dialogue between heritage, design, and contemporary art.
Designed by François Champsaur, its interiors combine fine materials, works of art, and contemporary furnishings, evoking the atmosphere of an elegant Parisian residence. At Le V restaurant, the remarkable historic glass dome, associated with Gustave Eiffel and master glassmaker Charles Champigneulle, reflects this rich architectural heritage.
This artistic sensibility also lies at the heart of B Signature Hotels & Resorts, Official Hotel Partner of Art Basel Paris 2026. Led by Anne and Agathe Jousse, the French family-owned hospitality group supports artistic creation through several museum projects, notably at the Musée de l’Orangerie and the Musée d’Orsay.
In 2023, the group also established the B Signature Contemporary Art Prize, in partnership with Galerie Gaïa, to support contemporary artistic creation in France.
As Anne and Agathe Jousse explain:
“We have always envisioned our hotels as places where people come together, connect, and share experiences. Art naturally belongs in these spaces: it sparks curiosity, evokes emotion, and starts conversations. Becoming the Official Hotel Partner of Art Basel Paris is a way to continue this story and welcome, into our hotels, the people who shape today's artistic landscape.”
