PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2026

Categories : Parisian life, published on : 7/7/26

In Paris, September has a charm all its own. Shop windows take on new tones, galleries switch their lights back on, and conversations resume around materials, colours, objects and new ways of inhabiting the world. For ten days, from 10 to 19 September 2026, Paris Design Week transforms the capital into a creative promenade, with exhibitions, showrooms, installations, meetings with designers and confidential addresses.

From Hôtel Vernet, just a few steps from the Champs Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, the event can be experienced as a Parisian itinerary to shape according to your wishes.

THE OPÉRA ROUTE
Concorde and Étoile

Among our favourite addresses, the Opéra, Concorde and Étoile area has the advantage of being immediately accessible from Hôtel Vernet. Here, you find that very Parisian blend of grand avenues, historic houses, luxury boutiques and cultural venues. During Paris Design Week, the district becomes an ideal observation ground for understanding the trends shaping contemporary design, from furniture to objects, from scenography to materials.

Just a few minutes’ walk from Rue Vernet, the Maison du Danemark, at 142 avenue des Champs Élysées, presents its Danish Design Showroom from 10 to 14 September, from 12pm to 8pm. It is a very accessible stop to discover a selection of Danish brands, between craftsmanship, functionality and clean lines. Further north, towards Monceau, the Charlotte Biltgen showroom also opens its doors as part of the Opéra, Concorde and Étoile route, with contemporary furniture inspired by a couture spirit.

The idea is simple: leave on foot from Rue Vernet, reach the Champs Élysées, then follow the installations and showrooms announced in the official programme. Design lovers will find here a first effortless immersion, perfect for an arrival in Paris or a late afternoon before dinner.

STROLLING BETWEEN
Palais Royal, Place des Victoires and Pigalle

There is another idea of design in this route, more urban and more collector focused. Between Palais Royal, Place des Victoires and Pigalle, Paris can be read through its contrasts: elegant passages, independent galleries, creative studios, workshops, concept stores and addresses that blur the line between art, fashion and decoration.

Near Palais Royal, Pinto unveils an exclusive collaboration with Nobilis for Paris Design Week 2026 in its showroom on Rue d’Aboukir. The venue is announced as open from 9:30am to 7pm from 10 to 18 September, an ideal time frame for a late morning visit or just before continuing towards the galleries of the district.

This route is particularly well suited to a visit as a couple or with friends. You enter a gallery for five minutes and stay for half an hour. You discover a lamp, a ceramic piece, a chair, a scenography. Then you leave with a new way of looking at the volumes of a room or the light of an interior.

Choose the late afternoon, when openings begin and the district regains its back to school energy.

EXPLORING THE MARAIS
the capital’s creative laboratory

The Marais is often one of the great highlights of Paris Design Week. Its network of galleries, private mansions, hidden courtyards and independent boutiques makes it a natural setting for young creators, emerging publishers and more experimental installations.

From 10 to 14 September 2026, Paris Design Week Factory takes place in the heart of the Marais, notably at Espace Commines and in the Galeries Joseph. Designed as a space dedicated to new talents, the event brings together more than 130 designers around four announced themes: collectible, edition, craft and a special section dedicated to China. It is one of the key stops to take the pulse of the shapes, materials and signatures of tomorrow.

In the same district, FIBOIS at the BHVP, at 24 rue Pavée, highlights the 2026 winners of the Bois Français & Design competition, with proposals focused on meeting and conviviality spaces enhanced by wood. The address is announced as open on 10 September from 10am to 6pm, then on selected days until 18 September. Another poetic stop, Céline Wright, on Rue Saint Louis en l’Île, presents her world of washi paper lighting, with openings announced from 10 September.

CROSSING THE RIVE GAUCHE
between galleries and art of living

The Rive Gauche offers a more intimate reading of Paris Design Week. Around Saint Germain des Prés, Boulevard Saint Germain and the neighbouring streets, design dialogues with publishing, art, antique dealers, decoration houses and the intellectual spirit of the district. The materials seem quieter here, the settings more intimate, the encounters more composed.

Among the stops to note, Galerie BSL, at 14 rue des Beaux Arts, presents Organic Frequencies, an exhibition bringing together the biomorphic Sea Anemone works by Pia Maria Raeder with the Archeologia seats by Zbeul Studio. On 10 September, the gallery announces extended opening hours from 11am to 10pm, perfect for an early evening stop. On the following days, the address is announced as open from 11am to 7pm until 18 September.

Another Rive Gauche landmark, Galerie MAY, between 23 and 34 rue de Lille, highlights the world of Maylis and Charles Tassin. The venue is announced as open from 10am to 7pm on weekdays, and from 11am to 6pm on the weekend of 12 and 13 September. It is an ideal stop to extend the visit towards the Carré Rive Gauche, between collectible design, decorative arts and Parisian atmosphere.

EXTENDING THE EXPERIENCE
with Maison&Objet

For design enthusiasts, professionals or curious visitors who wish to go further, Maison&Objet takes place from 10 to 14 September 2026 at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. More of a trade fair than an urban promenade, the event offers a way to take the international pulse of decoration, design and the art of living.

The September 2026 edition is placed under the theme Pulse in Motion, created in collaboration with the trend forecasting agency NellyRodi. The fair is announced as open from 9:30am to 6:30pm from Thursday to Sunday, then from 9:30am to 6pm on Monday. From Paris, access is possible via the RER B, Parc des Expositions stop, with free shuttles announced from Porte Maillot between 8:40am and 11am on the outward journey.

It is a different experience, broader and more professional, but highly complementary to Paris Design Week. There, one can observe the trends, new publishers, materials, colours and uses that will influence the interiors of tomorrow.

Good to know: Maison&Objet is mainly aimed at professionals. Paris Design Week, across the city, remains the most accessible format for experiencing the event as a visitor, enthusiast or curious traveller.

From Hôtel Vernet, all you need to do is open the door, choose a district, and let design guide the day.
