THE PARIS DINING SCENE RETURNS: WHERE TO BOOK THIS AUTUMN?
Categories : Parisian life, published on : 8/24/26
In Paris, autumn often begins around a table. From September onwards, the capital finds its rhythm again, dining rooms fill up and chefs gradually adapt their menus to the first ingredients of the season. Figs soon give way to pears, sauces become richer and desserts grow gently more comforting.
It is also the perfect time to rediscover the pleasure of Parisian interiors: a glass roof illuminated at dusk, a timeworn wooden counter, a dining room reminiscent of an old fashioned bistro or a patio that remains inviting during the milder days.
A business lunch near the Champs Élysées, an intimate dinner for two, a lively restaurant with friends or a tasting menu: here is our selection of restaurants to book in Paris this autumn.
LUNCH
beneath the glass roof at Le V
RESTAURANT LE V - 25 RUE VERNET 75008 PARIS
At 25 rue Vernet, just a few steps from the Champs Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, Le V offers one of the most distinctive settings in the neighbourhood. Its light filled dining room is crowned by a historic glass roof designed by Gustave Eiffel, whose stained glass panels cast a soft glow over the colourful banquettes, pale mouldings and contemporary artworks.
Chef Baldassare Mazzara serves Mediterranean cuisine inspired by his Sicilian heritage, his travels and the finest seasonal produce. The menu celebrates fish, precisely prepared vegetables, citrus fruits and Italian flavours. Depending on the day’s arrivals, guests might discover a delicately seasoned carpaccio, fresh pasta, roasted fish or meat served with seasonal vegetables.
The restaurant is equally suited to a business lunch or an intimate dinner. A menu served within forty five minutes also makes it possible to enjoy the setting during a professional appointment.

ENJOY THE LAST WARM DAYS
on the patio at De Sers
RESTAURANT DE SERS - 41 AVENUE PIERRE 1ER DE SERBIE
One of our favourite places to extend the feeling of summer, the patio at Hôtel de Sers is hidden away at 41 avenue Pierre Ier de Serbie. Guests reach it after walking through an elegant portrait gallery. Beyond it, the space opens onto a leafy patio sheltered from the bustle of the Golden Triangle.
Chef Stefano Stafie creates Mediterranean cuisine shaped by his Italian roots. The menu may bring together melting arancini, linguine with langoustine bisque, delicately roasted fish or a beautiful cut of meat accompanied by seasonal vegetables. Desserts often continue the journey through Italy, with a reimagined tiramisu, fresh lemon notes or lightly prepared fruits.
The patio is particularly enjoyable at lunchtime or on mild September evenings. As the temperatures begin to fall, it retains the atmosphere of a secret garden, ideal for a discreet escape in the heart of Paris.
REDISCOVER THE SPIRIT OF A BISTRO
at Parcelles
PARCELLES - 13 RUE CHAPON 75003 PARIS
On a quiet street in the Haut Marais, Parcelles seems to have travelled through the decades without losing any of its elegance. Located at 13 rue Chapon, the bistro embraces the hallmarks of traditional Parisian restaurants: a wooden and copper counter, mosaic flooring, stone walls, a golden ceiling and furniture with a charmingly vintage feel.
The cuisine, however, is firmly rooted in the present. The menu changes regularly according to the day’s produce and the chef’s inspiration. Guests may discover a homemade terrine, gnocchi with sage butter, sweetbreads with brown butter, roasted guinea fowl or fish accompanied by a carefully crafted sauce.
The dishes are generous without feeling heavy, and the desserts are worth saving room for. The chocolate tart with caramelised pecans is one of those treats you might initially consider sharing before quickly changing your mind.
Parcelles also stands out for its excellent wine list, featuring a wide selection of carefully chosen bottles. The wines complement the cuisine beautifully and provide the perfect opportunity to follow the team’s recommendations.
As the dining room is deliberately intimate, booking ahead is recommended, particularly for dinner.
SHARE THE DAY’S FRESHEST ARRIVALS
at Clamato
CLAMATO - 80 RUE DE CHARONNE 75011 PARIS
At 80 rue de Charonne, Clamato captures the relaxed spirit of a seaside counter. The interior combines raw wood, pale walls and details inspired by coastal cabins. The tables sit close together, the atmosphere is lively and the dishes are designed for sharing.
The day’s fish and seafood arrivals determine the menu. Depending on the catch, guests may order bonito rillettes, smoked tarama, grey mullet ceviche, cockles served with tangy butter or a selection of shellfish to share. The flavours are bold, often enhanced with fresh herbs, citrus fruits or gently smoked condiments.
Clamato does not accept reservations, which is part of its spontaneous appeal. To avoid a long wait, it is best to arrive as soon as the restaurant opens for lunch or early in the evening.
REDISCOVER THE TASTE OF A PARISIAN BISTRO
at Brigitte
BRIGITTE - 16 AVENUE DE VILLIERS 75017 PARIS
At 16 avenue de Villiers, between Parc Monceau and the Batignolles district, Brigitte has cultivated the familiar elegance of a Parisian bistro for almost thirty years. A wooden and marble counter, period ceilings, white tablecloths, family photographs and carefully sourced vintage objects create a welcoming atmosphere where guests quickly feel as though they have been visiting this neighbourhood restaurant for years.
The cuisine remains faithful to the French repertoire while following the rhythm of the seasons. Depending on the menu, guests may begin with a homemade pâté en croûte or terrine before continuing with a sweetbread fricassee with mushrooms, roasted poultry, hand cut steak tartare or a generous cut of beef served with béarnaise sauce. Desserts return to the pleasures of the classics, from profiteroles covered in warm chocolate sauce to a dark chocolate soufflé.
The restaurant is also worth visiting for its impressive wine list, which features around 350 references selected with passion. Brigitte is equally suited to a business lunch, a family dinner or an evening with friends, offering the kind of generous and unpretentious experience that makes guests eager to return. Reservations are strongly recommended.
WARM UP
at Le Chalet de Neuilly
LE CHALET DE NEUILLY - 14 RUE DU COMMANDANT PILOT 92200 NEUILLY SUR SEINE
Just a few minutes from Paris, Le Chalet de Neuilly gives autumn the atmosphere of a mountain escape. Located at 14 rue du Commandant Pilot, the restaurant offers a warm and convivial setting, ideal as the evenings grow shorter and the desire returns to gather around generous dishes.
The menu celebrates the great specialities of the Savoie region: three cheese fondue, raclette served with charcuterie or dried beef, tartiflette and roasted Reblochon. Guests who prefer traditional French cuisine may also choose a cut of beef, the fish of the day or one of the suggestions written on the blackboard. Here, dishes are placed at the centre of the table and naturally invite everyone to share.
To complete this comforting dinner, it is difficult to resist the molten chocolate cake or the chocolate fondue served with fresh fruit. A particularly enjoyable restaurant for dinner with friends or family, to be booked as soon as the first cool evenings of the season arrive.
EXPERIENCE PARIS
through the rhythm of its restaurants
In autumn, choosing a restaurant in Paris is as much about selecting an atmosphere as it is about choosing a cuisine. We make a reservation for the light beneath a glass roof, for a dish we would never prepare at home, for the gentle murmur of a dining room or for the pleasure of extending the evening over one final dessert.
